2015 Troxellian Literature Awards

It’s the end of the year so that means it’s time to rank things and feel like we’ve accomplished something by surviving for another 365 days. This is the third year for my book awards where I rank all the literature I read over the past year in an awards ceremony that means absolutely nothing.

It was a slow start to the year for reading since my daughter was born on the 3rd of January and babies require much love, attention, and general staring at. It also didn’t help that much of the literature I was reading early in the year just wasn’t very good. Things picked up in the summer and the end of the year. I also realized that I have to start including graphic novels this year since I read so many so this is the first year where they’ll have their own category.

Here are the nominees in the order that I read them. I’ll post the winners some time before the end of the year:
